Hi, I’m Mrs. Jacobs! I feel so lucky to have landed in Union. I received my Master’s in Teaching from Sacred Heart University in 2011, and I’ve enjoyed teaching elementary students in a great range of settings since then... from second grade in Abu Dhabi to MakerSpace in rural Connecticut!

I have a huge passion for STEAM, I’m so excited to teach weekly specials with a focus on Science and coding. I shift to the ‘M’ in STEAM by supporting all teachers with Math instruction three days a week. I believe in constructivist teaching, with engaging, hands-on learning and a project based approach. I also shape the practice of incoming teachers through positions in the education department at Sacred Heart & Framingham State Universities. At home, I have two darling children, Kate and Caleb, and a handsome husband. (And three dogs! Which might be too many.) I have felt so welcome coming in to the Union community, and I’m looking forward to a very productive year!
